Another fellow posted this on one of my Ford sites. It is pretty funny.

Now this is some funny ****!!!!I work at a Ford Dealership in N.C. Was sitting at the front counter when one of the service writers came in and started telling about one of her customers bringing his new Ranger in.He tells her that it is knocking and making a noise.HE proceeds to tell her that the only thing that he has done was to put a can of BG oil treatment that he got from someone here at the dealership. He said he put half in his Volvo at home and the other half in the ranger. He told her that it came out thick and gritty. It kinda looks like sand. She ask him again where he got it from and he said from the parts counter or someone out in service,he couldn;t remember.Turns out he took it from the display shelve in the service write up.Well she knew that the cans had been emptyied and refilled so that they wouldn;t blow away.Turns out that one of the guys in parts filled them up with brake lathe shavings, and silled them back up.I guess there is sweet justice after all.Oh!!!the Volvo is at the dealership for a knock in it also...

lol.. leave it to a service writer to do something like that. Instead of coming into parts and purchasing the part aka lube. He thought he get some for free from a display.

It's difficult to read given the lack of proper grammar, but I think they're saying the customer stole it from the display?

Either way, that's some serious justice done there!

Service writer took the display can and poured them into the two vehicles, instead of doing the right thing and charging out a can from the parts department. What a dumba**

I read it as the customer (he) did it and the Service writer (she) was relaying the story to the parts counter guys.

Yeah, if it weren't for the He/She distinction we'd never be able to decipher it!

Well I didn't write it but other than a couple spelling and punctuation errors I didn't think it was too complicated to understand.

I will edit it for those that had trouble.

I can't decipher it either. Too many pronouns, and I can't tell who's talking.

BG oil treatment looks a lot different than metal shavings.

At first I thought the "clunker program oil additive" was going to be mistaken for engine flush. A lot closer.

Me too...that's where I thought this story was going, but that program's long over.

Still not sure who put it in but I understand the aftermath...

you'd be surprised what ends up on a dealer techs work bench. or do you? LOL
When I used to work, we had this coolant additive that Mopar decided to put into an identical looking bottle as Mopar brand brake fluid. A lot of part dept guys fell for that one.
