I am putting an LS2 in my 67 and I am having some clearance issues between pitman arm and header tubes. I am looking to gain about 1/4" without butchering my headers.

So far I have ground some metal off my current pitman arm. Does anybody know if there is a billet pitman arm or something that will give me some more clearance.

PS I am using a 670 box from Lee's

The Firebird pitman arms are curved to clear the long branch exhaust manifolds. May do the trick to clear the LS headers.

Check Dave Pozzi's site as well. There are several different length Pitmans made for the first gen.

it's the knuckle that connects to the lee's steering box shaft that is a little thick. I am looking with that part being a smaller diameter. I have ground a little off the pitman arm knuckle which should be ok, but it makes me a little nervous, I don't like hack work.
