About to head off to upholstery and wanted to get a few pics posted of our latest project. (The truck is not 100% completed yet.)

Our customer was looking for something that could perform as well as one of our Chevelles plus have room for his family. He brought in a monster of a 57 Suburban and this is what we have created...

Custom Roadster Shop Chassis
Kenne Bell Supercharged LS7 (785 HP) by Turn Key Performance
4L85E Trans by Bowler Performance
20x9.5 and 22x12.5 Wheels w/ KDW Rubber

Tucked and heavily modified front bumper
Custom grille, grille bar, and grille surround
Pie cut hood
pie cut and sectioned entire roof
Front doors lengthened (3" or 4" can't remember exact)
Fabricated two rear doors, openings, pillars, hinge, etc... (Suburbans were only 2 doors until the late 60's, early 70's)
Changed rear wheel opening shape
1-Off LED brake lights
Fabbed complete rear cargo door
Tucked and modified rear bumper

ROADSTER SHOP

Thanks for the warm wlecome on the truck!

93Polo - Turn Key Engine Supply does their own accessory brackets for the Kenne Bell Super Charger

srh3trinity - Thanks, it is a Heidt's IRS

Draginutz - It is a custom silver that we came up with for the C1-RS Vette. They we tweaked it some more to lighten it up for this truck. Then it is covered with a matte clear to give it that unique finish.

strtcar - It will be cutting it close to get it done by the 11th. I don't think the upholstery shop will have it completed by then. Infact, I don't know if they will be able to get enough leather to do the interior in this thing by then! We were joking around with Steve Holcomb from Pro Auto Upholstery, and we may need to take down an entire heard of cattle to get enough leather for the headliner alone!

Shorttrack - it will be about a year and a half from start to finish.

I will post build pics later today/tomorrow. But you can check a lot of them out on our web site. http://www.roadstershop.com/current-projects

Wicked nice job!

What is the reason behind the round bar skeleton on the inside of the frame rails...strength?

Here are a few pics of how it came in to our shop. I think we were able to drop it about 2-3 feet from where it started!

The make the front clip since it is the same as a pick up. Nothing is made for the rear, so we had to fab the lower 1/4's and all other patch panels. We also had to fab complete rear door skins & shells, and back door skin & shell. There is not that much shape to these trucks, so it was not that bad.

The burban is on its way back from the upholstery shop right now. It will be back late tonight and I'll try to get some updated shots of the interior tomorrow morning and post them. We're pretty excited to see what Steve Holcomb and his crew at Pro Auto Upholstery came up with.

It will be the usual mad thrash to debut the truck at Columbus in a few days
