I have a 1967 firebird convertible that I am finishing up painting black (single stage with clear). The body work and paint are perfect..... except where the rear quarters and the panel above the trunk lid meet. The seem is starting to show. Not sure if I should fix it now or wait till next winter when the body work shrinks more. What are your opinions?

Did you fill the seam? Im asking because I thought there was a depressed seam there. And if its smooth now did you or someone else fill it. It so, and if it was done with plastic filler then it might always show up unless it was properly sealed. Epoxy primer makes for a good sealer as long as the plastic filler was cured and applied properly.
I had an issue with my car where it was filled, the seam between the Q and the small panel above the trunk lid (dont know what its called). So I dug out all the filler and welded it all up tight with metal. In the end it was a solid metal surface and no seam to bleed through. JR
