proportioning valve ? on 81 camaro

I have a 79 Trans Am disc brake in my 81 Z . Do I remove the factory proportioning valve and just use an adjustable one for the rear or what ? Do I need to change the M/C also ?

Your factory one is for disc drum I assume. Easy to use a T for the front and an adjustable on in the rear. That's what i've done in the past.
