Hey gents. Thought i'd introduce myself. I've had my 68 camaro for 14 years now. She's gone from old rust bucket to a pretty nice pro-touring setup back when "pro-touring" cars were pretty unheard of (back in 1998). Frame connectors, big discs all the way around, full recaro interior, Wayne Due front end (actually i got it from his boss before he passed away), richmond gear 5spd, plus a full frame off resto back in 98 as well. We'll i've had the car as it sits for about 8 years now w/ fee updates and am ready to start wrenching on her again. i sold my M3 and now want to put some more time and money back into my 68. Almost sold her along the way too. Glad i didn't as my grandfather passed away recently and he did the body work (picked up his old 72 C20 4x4 after he passed away to keep it all in the family and help my grandma w/ some money).

Long story short - just wanted to say hi and let you know my plans and that i'm back in the game.

Plans:

1. Sell the 17" torque thrust IIs (these were HUGE wheels back in 98, ha ha)
2. replace them with Boze Pro-Touring 18s (8" f and 9" rear) w/ 245s and 275s. Perhaps i'll mini-tub at some point, but not now.
3. Add a four or five link rear suspension (along w/ a mini tub?)
4. Upgrade brakes (currently 13s in the front and 11.5s in the back) w new steel braided lines, new pads and a new SSBC master cylinder.
5. Add autometer dropins for the tack and speedo.
6. Build a new motor in the next few years - 406 small block probably, maybe an all aluminum lightweight more if i can round the $$$.

anyway - looking forward to plugging away on this bit by bit! I'll start a thread and post before and afters when the new wheels show up in a few weeks.
