I need the factory wheelbase for a 69 camaro and for a 2007 Corvette Z06.

I just purchased a wrecked Z06, drivetrain still works with no problem. Body shell is trash. The chassis already has a complete Pfadt suspension upgrade.

I was already looking at getting a dyncorn 69 body shell for another prodject. I need to know how much the torque tube would need to be shortened to make this fit.

torque tube needs to be 3.5" longer. as does the frame. also the wheel base is too wide so you would need to section the sub frames and have custom half shafts made shorter. also you would have to find a rack that would fit. i already went through all this about 3 weeks ago wanting to do the same thing. another thing the Z06 frame is aluminum and you would have to make bolt on body mounts.

Lenghting the torque tube would not be to big of a deal I know a shop that can do the driveshaft part for me. I would just make me go back to the aluminum type instead of the CF 1 that is already installed.

How much would it have to be narrowed?

well the torque tube would need a CF drive shaft. the aluminum flexes too much and will come in contact with the outside tube. found that info on corvette fourm, they also said stock it almost contacts as it is.

not sure about the narrowed part, i can tell you that the rear has to be cut on both sides because of how the transmission is mounted and the front can just be cut in the middle.

also another issue you run into is header clearance between the frame rails and block.

if you do a search on here there are about 6-12 cars that people have started this project on back to 05' and not one is close to being done. thats why i changed my plans of a C5Z swap and bought a subframe, the track data from the optima shootout had a few vettes in it and they were beat by subframe and rear suspension moded cars.
