Bit the bullet and got a complete t-56 tranny and just about all the parts to do the conversion. This is what I got.
1. T-56 with 15,000 miles on it from a 2001 LS1 trans am
2. Weirs bellhousing,billet hydraulic throwout bearing, and master cylinder.
3. custom damper driveshaft and clutch pedal setup
4. Centerforce dual friction stage three drag clutch,pressure plate and flywheel all with about 100 miles on it.
5. Shifter.
I paid a total of 2000 for the whole setup. Only thing I think I need to complete it is a cross member, electronic speedo sensor and maybe a different pedal assembly set up Did I do good? Is this a good deal? What else am I missing to make this work. It was already on a 408 small block and I am running a 350. Any opinions suggestions would be appreciated.
