How are all you (camaro) guys getting an inspection sticker without running the factory front bumper??
I have a 67 that i'm going to run bumperless and have a concern as to how to find that loop hole..
I normally make sure my local guy who passes my other camaro is "Taken care of" after he passes me.
Because the state runs the inspections, now they are more picky about 3" exhaust and dba- D.O.T slicks-and other various small infractions. I just dont see the state looking past no front bumper?
I normally change tires... muffel the sound of mufflers...just to barely get a sticker. Any ideas.

No inspection on cars 35 years or older in NC! My 68 does not have a front bumper.

See the following links below. Page 11 of the PDF suggests you can legally remove the bumper. I would follow up in writing with DMV before going to an inspection center. Good luck!
http://www.mass.gov/rmv/inspect/540cmr400.pdf
"(12) Bumpers, Fenders, External Sheet Metal and Fuel Tank. A Certificate of Rejection shall be issued if any of the following conditions are evident:
(a) Bumpers. Broken or bent bumpers, fenders, exterior sheet metal or moldings, having sharp edges or abnormal protrusions extending beyond normal vehicle extremities so as to constitute a danger to pedestrians and other motor vehicle traffic. If bumper face plates are removed, bumper brackets must also be removed. On vehicles equipped with air bags bumpers may not be removed.
The vehicle hood, door(s), luggage compartment lid, and battery or engine compartment doors or lids, if so equipped, must operate as originally designed."

Like the front bumper of a 1st gen would stop a shopping cart much less make a difference in a collision.
