to save me the headache of searching prices and yada yada. Im considering selling my 383 LT1 in the future in a few years when im done with it, and im reallllly leaning towards the LSX swap idea that is sooo popular! my brain is tired so i really dont feel like doing a few hours of searching, as im sure alot of you have links saved and such. the car is a 73 Nova!

who do i go to for a fair priced kit that wont break the bank? or am i better off buying each swap part individually?

oh and how many different transissions can be used with the LSX? automatic only, i know the 4L60's and 80's, what about the 700-R4,TH350? id rather have overdrive anyway

this is what i know will be needed: LSX motor mount plates, LSX swap headers, LSX swap oil pan, wiring harness, computer, tranny crossmember, different length driveshaft.....im sure i left something out.

so help me out fellow LSX swappers!!

Call Hotrod Revolution. 678-446-0653 Talk to Bart. They will be able to sell you everything you'll need including the engine.

As far as trannys go, You can use any trans you want.
You'll just need to buy a 39 dollar spacer from gmpp and longer flywheel bolts.

Good luck with the swap.

^^ ok cool. i like the idea of a non computer controlled trans.

and i just ran across BRP website, seems like they have all the hardware i need, headers, mounts, crossmember. and i think painless would have a harness, or turnkeyengine.com.

thanks

Bart @ Hotrod Rev used to be with BRP. He made 95% of their products. They are flawed and he improved the the weak points and makes a better kit. Please just take a few mins and call him. Its worth it.

They can even take car of the harness for you.
