I have a new project i'm wrapping up.

66 Impala sedan! wanted to be different with this one.

I just finished up the go and need some serious whoa now. I swapped in a 5.3 and 4l60e, 5.3 has a 218/228 .550 114 cam, ported fast intake, longtubes, x pipe etc. Decent little cruiser, way more than the old 4 wheel drum brakes can handle. I know theres disc brake swap kits available, but i'm trying to find a bracket to use f body ls1 calipers and rotors.

Anyone know of a place to buy caliper brackets? I'm guessing a new spindle is probly a must also. i may be out in left field on this one but the concept sounds good. I have 2 sets of f body brakes and a set of x drilled/slotted rotors to fit them laying in the shop.

Any info greatly apprectiated guys!

I'm not sure if the '66 impala has a similar front spindle to the chevelle and 67-69 camaro or not (?), but BRP sells a kit to adapt the LS1 front brakes to those spindles:
