It reminds me of fishing,...where you catch one and throw it back in.

I'd have thrown this one back in. :lmao:
The car was last titled in 1964!!!

The old guy had this old Ford in the garage too.
Last titled in 1979! Original interior and still has the flathead motor.

Drop a modern 750cc or 1000cc and make it a mini cooper killer.

Looks like something from a soviet block country except for the french words.....What is it?

Hyabusa (sp) power and a wicked go kart suspension, then go sport motorcycle hunting.

Last 2 pictures in the first post...

It's a Moretti Tour de Monde,........whatever the hell that is.

I agree, it would be fun with a 150hp motorcycle engine.

You can see from some of the pictures above it's a Moretti. An Italian can maker (Turin, Italy). It looks like the car is roughly a 1958 model.

Here's a few pictures of what it would look like put together:

https://static1.pt-content.com/images/pt/2010/03/morettilogo3-1.jpg

This is probably the motor that's in it (a 750cc single-cam engine):

https://static1.pt-content.com/images/pt/2010/03/750motor-1.jpg

But here's their other cool motor... A twin-cam 750cc:

https://static1.pt-content.com/images/pt/2010/03/moretti20engine-1.jpg

It looks like that model was their "grocery getter"... Moretti had some REALLY sexy models as well:

https://static1.pt-content.com/images/pt/2010/03/morettinice7-1.jpg

Here's a nice website about the history of Moretti: http://www.ferrariexperts.com/moretti.htm

It looks like they made a lot of TINY cars! The article says they had a close partnership with Fiat over the years.

In the write-up they quote 0-100mph in 30 seconds and 0-60mph in 15 seconds!! :seizure: And that is with the Twin-Cam engine!!

NOW THAT IS SOME BLAZING SPEED!!! :)

Here's a few other cool models that Moretti made:

I think this model kinda looks like a Cobra from this angle!

I'd hate to experience a "roll-over" in one of these tiny things... I don't know if you could tuck your body on to the passenger seat low enough to survive! :drive2:

Excellent post Ray! When I saw the pics in the OP earlier today I was thinking Simca or maybe Hillman but a quick search proved me wrong..

That is kick butt man! That would make a killer econobox gas saver that would still stand out! Heck, it is prolly small enough to stuff a drivetrain from a wrecked smart car in......if there was anything left! Lol.

But the Busa would be better for sure!

0-100mph in 30 seconds and 0-60mph in 15 seconds!! white knuckling performance.....LOL, but I wonder how long it took to get whoa'd back down to zero from 100(without hitting something solid).

my vote: go to the junkyard and find the cheapest possible drivetrain, swap it in fabricating whatever you need, and drive as is.

might be a bit interesting (brakes?!) but would be most fun per dollar!

Wonder how a Hayabusa motor with a turbo would fit?
