Just checking in. Hope to learn alot and maybe help someone out if possible. I don't know much about getting a car to handle or stop but it should be fun to learn.

Unusual combos are a Turbocharged 70 Coupe Deville that doesn't handle and stops even worse and a Turbocharged Mustang II that is getting a low-buck G-machine treatment. (very low buck)

Thanks guys, I'm by the Western border of Ohio, near Greenville. I'll try to post pics later when I get home. Be warned, these cars will hurt your eyes with ugliness.

Welcome fellow Buckeye.....

BTW:

I really dig Mustang II's..... cool little cars that don't get any respect other than their racks.... I owned a white & black '78 Mach I w/'74 302, C4 right after high school and loved it!

Kevin, if you mean the cruising of downtown streets in Greenville around the circle then no. The local gestapo put a stop to that years ago. They just couldn't have something that had been going on since the early 50's continue.:screwy:

Rich, no the II's don't get much respect. They didn't have much power, but what did during those years? Like you, I had one back in school and several more after high school. (the 80's)

I warned you about the ugliness! The MII had that paint when I got it, I'm not taking the responsibility for that!:wasntme:

Thanks fella's, Most don't like the II that much. Especially other Mustang people.

The cad is fun but it doesn't handle or stop very well. Doubt if it ever will either.

That Caddy is sCaRy yet, presents itself well. What does the MII weigh? It could be a killer.

The cad is scary in a corner or if you want to stop anyway:lmao: Has run 12.02@119mph so far. Bent a rod on the engine dyno over the winter. Rebuilding it now.

Don't know the weight of the MII for sure. Would guess around 3000-3200lbs. Built purely from junkyard stuff and strictly for fun. Hope it handles decent and runs in the 12's on the street. The same drivetrain pushed another MII I had to 12.5's @113mph.

Welcome Sean!...I like the Caddy! Kind of reminds me of "THE CAR" Just limo tint the windows and (maybe flat black it...haha) that'll top it off! As for the Mustang II...my dad had one about the '80-'82 timeframe (it was used..don't remember what year the car actually was..just remember it was a Mustang II like the one in the pic... kind of a rootbeer brown) it was a Friggin POS...(All the makers were having quality issues then) was nothing but trouble for my Dad...he hated that car and has never bought a Ford since. He did buy a Mercury Mystique about 10 years or so ago and hated it too...called it his Mercury..."Mistake". Not trying to rip on your car though...I like it... as when my dad had the Mustang II ...I was just out of High school, thought it was cool, and wanted it...he would not let me even drive it...guess he figured I'd drive it too hard and he'd be fixing it even more than he already was...(based on my vehicular history at the time he had valid reasons to think so) it will be interesting to see you PT it! Like seeing different cars on the board! Have fun!

A belated welcome. I dig the projects you've got going. Being a Mustang guy, I have to say I'm disappointed that more Mustang guys don't embrace the IIs. I've been a fan since I spotted my first Cobra II. I just wish I could find a V8 II for under $800, but they've been rather elusive in the last 5-10 years.

Keep us posted on your progress... I'll be looking for it.
