trying for 2500lbs., or as close as I can get. Comfortable and "finnished", but pretty bare bones.

Hmm....... 2500 lbs... and you said comfortable? LOL, I wish you luck, I had mine down to 3000 lbs with fiberglass doors and hood but I through the steel back on cause I was gettin tired of waiting for the money for the nascar bars and paint, lol, oh well.

It will pretty much summer time car, planning polly carbonate front and rear windows, no heat or air, good savings should come from rear body, no inner metal panels. A bulkhead with rear window immidiatly behind seats, like Trans Am cars, with rear sheet metal held in place with supports. 2500 may be over optomistic, but we'll see. Posting new pics end of March

Remember Bob Owen,s '69 Camaro in Popular HotRodding? Full tube frame, monster Flares, nascar tires and wheels, tall wing in the back......looked like a '69 on steroids. I met him at a NASA time trial even't and he had his car there, long story short he said his car was 2800 lbs. I think you'll probly end up there, still a great weight to be at. Looking forward to following your build.

I remember the car, really nice. And don't forget Big Red. I would settle for 2800, and street legal.
