Has anyone retrofitted a vintage air system for a 70-73 Camaro into a 70-81 Firebird and mounted the control panel in the factory location?

Vintage Air has a kit for your car if, is that what your asking? It uses a replacmewnt control that fits the stock conrole opening.

Really Frank? For Firebirds? I haven't seen it. I just looked on the Vintage Air site and no mention of it there, just the Camaro model. That would be big news for the Firebird/TA guys!

thefirebirdman; Here's a bird dash build I documented a couple months ago using the 3 knob Vintage Air control in the stock section of the dash. If you want to retain the stock inset heat/ac control look you'd have to make a small panel to replace the stock faceplate (unless they do indeed now offer a Firebird control panel as Frank mentioned). https://www.pro-touring.com/forum/showthread.php?t=62487&highlight=carbon+fiber

I mis read and thought he was trying to put it in a later Camaro. The Firebird comtrol is different and they have not worked that out yet.
