Tanner's a great driver
Love the sound of that engine
Nice Video editing
Beyond that...c'mon. I guess I just don't get drifting. Looking at that vid I'm thinking Mary P or any other good driver in a prepped car could smoke him. He spends way too much time spinning the tires and sacraficing time. Imagine a GT3 on that course w a factory driver, timed against Tanner drifting away. Who do you think would win?
Fun to watch, tho...

Is that seat on some type of isolaters. That thing is moving around a little.
Fun video but drifting sure isn't about going fast. I think I'd have more fun going fast instead of sliding

Sure almost any sports car could drive this road in less time BUT in my .02 Drifting this road would be WAY more fun than doing it fast.

Tanner is a greatdriver.. He isn't trying to set a speed record... If he was he wouldn't be drifting it.. He is making a really cool (to watch video). If you think about it most fast laps are almost boring to watch... Smooth = fast and you never want to exceed the available traction. Drifting is basically a way to goof off and look cool. racing is about going fast.. To each their own but I personally love both (racing and drifting).

Stephan Roser was ahead of his time in this video. This was filmed back in the 80's driving the Ruf Yellowbird 911 and he is drifting on the Nurburgring with other traffic on the track, wearing jeans, no helmet, no fancy e-brake in a car that can, at best, be said to be extremely tricky when at the limit. I used to run a 911 with a turbo motor at track events and I cannot imagine doing what he is doing in this video. The best part of this video is the last half.

I'd like to see him do that in one of those AWD rally cars...I bet the time it takes to cover those two miles would be cut in half.
I bet those rear tires were corded smack down the middle when he finished...wonder what the tire pressures were that they used and where they ended up at the end of the two miles?
