View Full Version : Stock UBJ's to Tall UBJ's - alignment change

I currently have SPC upper arms with stock BJ’s and a BJ spacer kit. The BJ spacer kit consists of 3X ¼” THK plates, spacing the BJ down ¾” for proper suspension travel.

I would like to know how my alignment would change if I simply took 2 spacers out (totaling ½”) and installed ½” taller UBJ’s? My current alignment is +5.5° caster, roughly 0° to -.25°camber, and 1/16” toe in IIRC.

Now, I tried to sketch this up in ProE/CAD, and it seems that as you approach more misalignment from vertical with the tall vs. stock BJ, it effectively adds more height to the spindle. So I think I will gain more negative camber and a bit more toe out?

I guess I’m too cheap to have my buddy re-align the car, especially since I’ll need another when I drop in the tall LBJ’s next year.
