I thought I saw in the new products section of a magazine recently that someone ( I thought edelbrock) was making new crossram intakes.

Not the one piece side by side deal, but a two piece design very much like the dz original.

Been searching all over web, but have not found it. Was this just a dream? Or does anyone know what I am talking about?

Part #'s: Base 5893, 2x4 top 5903

I have this one, it is cheaper through Summit but has gone up since I got mine.

They show the intakes here compared to the original one.

For that much money, does it come with a pit crew to put it on and tune it as well?

There was a new CFI intake in the mags new parts sections a few months ago, you didn't see that did you?

My uncle bought one of the first if not the first one of the new cross fire injection manifolds I think you are referring to. Some pretty big claims from the guy he is buying it from. I know when he talked to the guy and made the commitment to purchase it they only had a prototype.

Do it man. I would consider using HP Holleys, the better metering helps with driving. I have 650 Street HPs on mine (linkage modified) and it runs great. The intake has a very strong midrange, not as peaky as some say. I drove mine on the street and autoxed it as well. It did quite well, despite having a rather large cam for street use.
