Just wondering if anyone else has put a Speedtech subframe into a nova yet and what they found to be good backspacing. I have the New Gen Splliters that are 8" wide with 4.75" backspacing, which I was told should be good with this subframe. I started hanging the sheetmetal today and found that the wheels are going to rub. I have a ton of room to move inward so that's what I might have to do. I'm also running Wilwood 12.19" brakes on the front. Anyone have any suggestions on how I could move the wheels in or would I be better off getting different backspacing? I've attached some pics also to show the issue. And this is in no way to call out Speedtech or Driver's Inc, I'm just looking to see if there are any other set ups out there yet as I haven't seen any other novas with this subframe. Thanks in advance.

Alignment specs, and final assembly of your front sheet metal, and inner fenders will all change things drastically, but based on what you showing above... At least either way, we could pull in the wheel, and add another inch of backspace. Let us know what you want us to do, happy to do it....

Thanks Justin...I didn't realize the back spacing could be changed on those rims. That's what I'll likely end up doing once I figure out the proper backspacing. I realize the end alignment, etc will make a difference, but the way they are now, I can't even get the fender to run straight with the body without it hitting. Once I figure out the proper BS, I'll be in touch.

Mike
on Our Test car we run a 19 x 10 with a 7" Back space, that being said we know the sub will handle it and i have just ordered a set for my new Nova Project that are 18 x 9 with a 6" BS the only differance i see is that the inner wheel tubs are not as deep on the Nova, the 2 options i can see are widen the tubs or fit a set of camaro tubs in??
granted the 18 will reduce some of the turning so that is why i went an inch narrower and removed it from the back side.

if your rims are 2 piece Greens in Richmond can cut them appart and reweld them where ever you need for about 125 per wheel.
