I know what you are saying brother. There's still a huge hole where my motor used be, a house that needs work...., and NASA Infineon this Weekend and RTTC in 2 weeks. It's absolutely making me sick. BTW nice smooth driving. What organization put up those cones right before the fun spots? I guess it would allow those with S speed rated tires to run the event. Thanks for sharing.

It was just a track day. There were a lot of "instructors" that drove with the people who didn't have a lot of track experience. I was fortunate to run with the fast guys on the full course because of my past NASCAR experience. I had an instructor ride with me for 2 sessions because any pointers I can get, I'll take...

That was cool. What were those cones in the middle of the track about? Was that where cars entered the track?

Ah yes, Thunderhill, brings back memmories, they through those cones in front of turn 1 for safety measures obviously to slow drivers down. my top speed approaching turn 1 was 141 m.p.h., not sure why the cones were placed in front of I think it was turns 10 or 11.

141mph! Wow! What do you have in that thing? I was only able to get to 117mph before Turn 1.

What are you driving, whats gearing and rear wheel torque and horse power. Tire are a big help also shooting out of 15.

I did the course with out the cones too once in a LM race car set-up for Sears Point, and we were up against the rev limiter going 150+ well before we reached the breaking numbers before turn 1. I'm curious how fast we would have gone if the car was geared a little taller... I think I only hit 110+ with the cones in the '00 SS Camaro...
