I recently found a thread that appeared to be about how bad the name of my car is. For the record I have black and white friends that dont have a problem with it. However I realize how on the internet not everyone get understand a pun or humor.

Im wanting to know if my new name is acceptable or if it is still gonna cause problems?

I also have an unrelated question Im going to post on the advertising questions thread.

Ive been busy so I havent been on here for awhile. I intended this thread for a moderator but I dont know how to just ask them a question.

I posted a name in my pt garage that offended a member because of its reference to blacks. I cant say the real name but I'll let you use your imagination. My car has been called a falcoon by many oldtimers I know. Its MY car and it is painted black. You can go from there.

I didnt intend the name to offend. Its a name that fits. Its actually kinda funny cause there was a thread started about how offensive and racist I was. The thread is titled "911 industries". I didnt catch it until everything was over.

Now to reiterate. I'm not trying to be offensive or racist. There was a spot for my cars name so I put it in. I wil try to be more pg-13 in the future.

'**** isn't racist unless you are refering to someone's race... and you aren't, and neither are people who hunt racoons (or have them as pets), or are owners of coonhounds.

I think it's just plain weird that people "name" their cars.

OK boys and girls: I did a little editing. No need for that kind of thing.

Let's please keep this thread above the 7th grade level.

I've never named my car..
Probably will not ..

As far as the offensive name thing goes ;
Some people are offended by names , they are very sensitive , and have a chip on their shoulder , and are looking for an excuse to complain.
I say , don't give them a reason.
Life's too short to argue.
Everyone should just get along....
And build cars !

I do not find names , of any sort , offensive.
But , then again , I'm pretty thick skinned..
"Sticks and stones may break my bones , but names will never hurt me.."

everything can be offensive to somebody. personally I'm sick of all the political correctness in this country- this country is made up of every race and type of people in the world- and everyone has there own opinion of that race so EVERYONE is racist- call your car what ever you want welcome to the United States

and everyone has there own opinion of that race so EVERYONE is racistThat's simply false. Don't project your own issues to others.

Crusty..

you realize this is a CAR site right?... your sick of how things are going in this country..

... im having a boner about ZuperZports 68 camaro build.

how about have a look at that build thread and give an opinion relative to the sites definition.

and no.. not EVERYONE is racist.. such a general term is too final to be taken as truth..

but i can tell you one thing that is truth... a roadcourse is goddamn fun!

Since it usually isn't racist to call something what it is on the outside looking at it in the full light of what it is maybe you could just call it....

Black Falcon

It sounds dark and sinister and that it can really fly.

Pretty much sums up what could be on the inside too!

Since you haven't posted the name you can still save face and move on.

Now get that thread moving in the direction you like and post up some pics and some progress.

I also dont mean to offend anyone but it seems like you cant do or say anything without someone taking offense- The point I am making about everyone being a racist is that every individual forms their own opinion about other people based on their own experiencies . I think you can name your car whatever you want if you are so inclined. Back to cars though I do think there are some( many) awesome builds going on on this site and I will now keep all other comments to myself.
The porsch3 356 with the A8 driveline shows a degree of auto engineering that just has me in total awe. I also love seeing a twin turbo stuffed into any old muscle car( just wish I could afford a setup like that). I also think this site has a WEALTH of information AND I have gotten much help already from those here that are smarter than me and have the experience to put me in the right direction regarding my own build, and for that I am very grateful. So from now on all I will talk is cars and such.
