Looking for any kind of positive input or suggestions..
Im looking to replace my original wire harness..specificly my front, side, and back lights. looking around the forums I see a few people recommend American auto wire. I found this kit that looks like its right down the path I am on..

I would use the kit from American again and again, that’s how much confidence I have in their product.

Best kit on the market, we use them in all our builds. Can't go wrong. Kits are complete, easy to read instructions, easy to install with a few hand tools.

Is their update wiring harness worth doing the whole car? What kind of timeline does it take to do the whole harness?

There stuff is the best out there. I've done painless, AAW and even a ebay kit once. There is by far the easiest. With the right tools and clear head I can pull off a complete harness install minus dash cluster in a 8 hour day. And that wrapping all wires in TEchflex, heat shrinking ends, etc. But I love wiring it actaully one of my favorite aspects of building cars!! Easy to understand and easy to do, by far best kit on the market.
You will want to do the whole car. I can't remember but there is one part of the harness that has a different connection than stock. Get rid of the old stuff and go all new!!

If the car isn't to far off of stock electrically I like M&H Auto Electric. They are bolt in OEM harness and you don't have to cut and splice the ends to put on the plugs at the various point (ie headlamps, taillamps, high beam switch). I bought mine from them for my 68 Chevelle and they put in an updated fuse box that uses the modern fuses, it was made to run and internal regulator alternator on the right side of the engine. It was the easiest I have found.
