Pro-Touring.com - 10 years old and still growing.

Wow, ten years... It's been a lot of fun and I have SO many people to thank I don't even know where to begin. I look back over the last ten years at the people I've met, the cars I've seen and all the new friends I have made and what a great time it's been. I need to thank my wonderful wife Susan for putting up with all the time I devote to the site and my car, Ralph LoGrasso for all the help getting things up and going and our incredible group of moderators. Without them, all the great members, wonderful sponsors, people that have made donations to the site and all the magazine plugs I could not have kept it going.

For some time now we have been growing by over 400 new registered members a month and that does not count all the new lurkers that never register. Our number of visits is up every month our statistics say we have visitors from 147 countries.

I look forward to the next ten years and I only see it getting better. While some say our build style is just a fad it keeps growing and growing. How could it not with cars that are built to be well rounded and do it all.

Things are really ramping up with great events for our cars popping up all over the place and I'm sure in time there will be more of them. So, get out there and enjoy your rides now matter how far you have to travel as driving there is half the fun.

For those of you that don't know yet we have a new and improved site up and running and it's currently being tested. It's a totally new version of Vbulletin with a killer content management system, a member blog and lots of cool new features with more additions and I hope to release it before the end of March.

Thanks again to everyone who has visited our little part of the internet, supported our site, our annual SEMA dinner and events that we have been involved with.

Thank you all!

Larry, how quick 10 years went by!
I recall a little free forum you started in which after 90 days an old thread would just scroll off and disappear! Thanks for giving me a place to hang out and meet some really great new friends!

This site made me love cars again. It also has brought me great friendships that I will forever cherish. It's a hell of a thing to think that I can go anywhere in the United States and probably find someone in that city that would be familiar with me and want to chew the fat over a few cold ones.

It's been the best.....truly the best.

So where is the birthday party?

Man it has been a good time being here. I can't remember a day that has gone by I haven't been here unles I was at an event. I refused to die just to be here.lol

It is amazing how many of us who were here first are just getting are cars on the road still. Kind of makes it a really slow growing movement all in itself. When more people start to come to the events that have been a long time coming and they see how much fun they can legally have and the great people they can meet the snowball will grow faster.

I have to thankyou Larry for your generosity and everything you have done for me over the years. Being able to have a place to hang my hat has kept me from giving up. Without the great people here who want my car done as much as I do I probably would have sold it years ago.

Happy Birthday PT.com

Is it only 10 years old now?!?!!! And how can it be 10 years already?!?!!! I remember when I found the site and lurked for a while, joining a bit later. But that was like late 2000, early 2001... I thought I was late to the party then.

In any case, HAPPY BIRTHDAY! Let's do it again in another 10 years!

I had a site up and running on my free earthlink account that had some really long url address and I still don't know how people found it. There is a chance Mark was the very first member?

Thank you Larry! I lurked for a couple years before I joined. I must say that this is the best and most mature group that I have seen on ANY message board. It also prolly has the widest varitey of people, knowledge and "status'" of any also.....if status' is a word! Lol.

But I also must say that YOU have caused me lots of lost sleep, missed time with my family, and prolly missed sex with my wife thru the years!! so that I don't thank you for!! Lol!
