HEY GUYS THIS IS THE FIRST TIME TO POST ANYTHING ON ANY FORUM- DRIVEN WEBSITE. I'M DOING MILD UPGRADES TO MY 69 CHEVELLE MALIBU. LOOKING FORWARD TO USING PRO-TOURING FOR NEW IDEAS AND PASS ALONG MY IDEAS. I'M DROPPPING IN A 454 BIG BLOCK TO REPLACE THE TIRED 41-YEAR-OLD 350. THE ENGINE SUPPOSEDLY CAME OUT OF AN '86 CHEVY TRUCK WITH APPROX. 60K MILES ON IT. I DID HEAR IT RUN AND COMPRESSION CHECK RAN 150 ON EACH CYLINDER. WILL BE HOOKED UP TO A FRESHLY BUILT 700R TRANS WITH SHIFT KIT. THE ONLY UPGRADES TO THE 454 FOR NOW WILL BE AN EDELBROCK TORQUER ALUM. INTAKE, 274 COMP CAM, AND HOOKER COMPETITION FULL LENGTH HEADERS. I THINK THE FACTORY ENGINE SPECS FOR THE 454 IS ABOUT 230HP.?? STAMPED PAD ON FRONT OF THE ENGINE SAYS N14015445 AND THE BACK OF THE BLOCK READS CGJ126752. ANYBODY KNOW WITH THIS SET UP ABOUT HOW MUCH HP THESE MODIFICATIONS WILL MAKE?
