NOTE: "Cast" wheels do not have the same shine and brilliance as billet aluminum.
Is there a big difference in shine on polished cast vs. polished billet?

That will depend a great deal on the quality of the casting, and the skills of the person polishing. Ultimately though, Billet/forged aluminum will usually have a finer metal structure or "grain", so it will take a higher level of polish. Castings will have a slight "haze" or cloudiness even when mirror polished. The degree to which that is noticable depends on the particular casting. To describe it best I can, polished cast aluminum looks like shiny, polished aluminum. A well polished billet piece looks like you made it out of a liquid silver mirror.

Yes, there's a very noticeable difference...in both appearance and generally in price.
