not really funny to me either..gotta remeber everyone dressed and had stuff like that this musta come from someone that wasnt around in that era..be like me looking back at the 50-60s stuff..

looking back, the late 70's was a "special" time as far as fashion is concerned- Jimmy Carter wore plaid suits to official functions while he was president, and no one took him seriously. that can't be a coincidence..
i don't know what everyone was on that they thought it was a good idea to wear stuff like this in public, but they really did. it's even worse than the stuff that replaced it in the 80's, and that's saying a lot.
if you don't see why this is funny, then you've probably got a bunch of polyester and terry cloth jumpsuits in the back of your closet that you don't wear only because they don't fit any more.

The crap they push for people to be stylish is funny to me. The fashion industry is really to blame for making alot people look stupid in the 70s! I was one of the poor kids wearing the plaid overalls in Pennys family portrait.
I would totally rock this table set in my basement bar.. if I had a basement bar.

Having worn some of those kids clothes this is both very humorous and somewhat painful as well.

I graduated high school in 75 so this had me laughing so hard I cried. The pull tab tie for chest hair access was the best.

Ahh brings back good memories. Makes me want to go out and find a few spools to carpet and turn into furniture. I wore a lime green double knit polyester suit for holloween a couple of years ago.
