As an avid gear head, father, someone who has asthma, as well as, Pro-Touring nut I found this story to hit home hard for me. Take a look - If you are a father and or veteran this effects you. Chuck Campbell is a veteran who needs a double lung transplant and his medical insurance will only cover 10% of the cost. So much for Medical Care reform when organ donations are free.

With as much as most of us spend on parts I found this to be a drop in the bucket to try and save a life. I don't normal post stuff like this but felt it was important to just get the word out...

People don't realize that depending on your insurance coverage they only cover part of the expenses of the transplant. That is if you had insurance to begin with of course.

My coverage is 20% that I am responsible for plus the deductibles. In my transplant that equals $68,300-$100,000+ out-of-pocket not counting the deductibles.

I have $50 on the way to Chuck. I could use the SL550 too.
