Removing instrument cluster 1st gen f-body?

I have the panel unscrewed and took off the covers on the column, but it still won't move very far. Do I have to drop the column? I'm trying to replace a bunch of light bulbs in the instrument cluster.

Yes, you need to remove the 3 nuts holding the column up. You don't need to remove the column, just let it drop a bit.

I hear ya. I've done so many mods that I have a hard time remembering how to disassemble some things.
