Thanks DB,

I also updated my vbGarage with more pics, if you need something else, let me know. My ideas for the car are:

PAINT OPTION 1: Silver - (I know it's overdone, but after a recent trim tag decode I discovered that the original color was Silver) Delete the stripes (if you can). If you can't - change them to a 2 to 3 shade darker silver.

PAINT OPTION 2: Not sure of the name - but Ford has a medium bronze color for their Excursions and Heavy Duty pickups. If you can't find the color - just wing it. No stripes (again, if you can).

PAINT OPTION 3: White w/ charcoal stripes that match the wheel centers.

PAINT OPTION 4: I'm not really considering a 2-tone, but you can include one for kicks if you want.

BODY: On all the above - delete the door handles (I can't decide between shaved handles or Malibu handles) & shave the side-molding and emblems.

WHEELS: I really like the American Racing Rebel. I like most of the Corvette-type wheels. On the Corvette-type wheels, I'd like to make the centers gunmetal grey with a polished lip.

Whew, do I sound demanding or what!?! Thanks DarkBuddha. TAKE YOUR TIME.

OH YEAH! Almost forgot - Drop the car a little for a Killer Stance.

Thanks again, DB.

Buddha, your talent has you in demand. If you do photochops on spouses , keep it to yourself or you will be flooded with requests for virtual makeovers.

Yep, I have had a number of requests recently. I asked Boyd to post a thread since I thought others might wanna see the kind of work that can e done with basic photoshop skills. I'm certainly not working at a professional level, and certainly these types of photochops aren't really a replacement for professional artists' renderings. But for the poor/cheap among us, this is about all we've got... well, other than cocktail napkin stick figure renderings :Alchy: .

Well, with the limited amount of time I've had, I was only able to get a few simple things done. I gotta say it's a nice car as it sits. Heck, just adding some ARE Rebels and tinting the windows would make an impact.

Anyway, a couple notes about the photochops below... removing the stripes was more challenging than I expected, but I learned some new techniques, so it was time well spent anyway. Also, starting with a white car was trickier than I expected as well. White doesn't reflect/refract light the same way as colors, so doing color changes look more artificial than I'd like. Oh well... Ultimately, I couldn't decide on the right silver, so I finally just went with one. If you'd like it more gray, or more blue, etc, just let me know. Oh, and rather than post full pics, I'll just post thumbnails to make the thread load quicker.

Silver with ARE Rebels:

Silver with gray stripes:

Silver black stripe:

I thought the car needed a bit of color to make some impact, so I did this one: silver blue stripes

And, just to mix it up a bit, black with silver stipes:

Anyone wanna try to list all the other mods I did?

I do have some personal thoughts after doing these... my general feeling is that the solid silver (or any solid color) needs something to dress it up a bit. I love the hood stripes, but I think I'd leave 'em off the trunk and rear of the car.

I'll work on the other bits of your request later this week. I'll post more when I get 'em done.

Hope you like 'em.

:bananna2: That rocks!! DB - anything else you do to this car should be considered icing on the cake. Very Cool!!. Thank you so much! I couldn't decide on whether to keep the stripes or not when the car gets re-done. After looking at your chopped pics, I totally agree with you, that hood is just humongous and it needs something to break it up. I am so pleased with the way the AR Rebels look that I'll feel guilty if you spend any more time with different wheels. I realize this is not a replacement for a professionally done rendering, but it's THE NEXT BEST THING! Again, thank you very much DB!

Glad you like 'em... I still want to try a couple other things, so look for 'em later this week.

Thanks DarkBuddha! Love the Bronze with black stripes. Wonder what it'd look like with black centers on the wheels and blacked out window trim...hmm.. :hmm:
