Hello all, New to the site and live in Central California. I'll admit i'm more in to the straight liners, but the site seems to be a wealth of information. I've got a prostreet BBC 68 Camaro and a blown 97 as well. Looking forward to getting knee deep in the site :)
The 68 is currently in the body shop and should be out within about a month. Here it is now..

I saw a Pro street car do the autocross in Madison on last years Power Tour. He did a lot better than you would think. Anyone who wanted to drag race free the next day had to compete in the autocross. It was crazy the type of cars competing. I used to want to pro street my TA. But, I went autocrossing and I was ruined for life. I came to the light. I see car going 10's on 10" wide tires and being able to corner and stop. I want that. This year I will be able to do that. Run low 11's and do 100 mph around a corner and through out the anchor when that a$$ pulls in front of me. Way cool cars.

Honestly I'm not sure yet. It's all forged and running 14lbs of boost through a Procharger. Last time out it went 11.8 @ 128. That was on all stock suspension, stock rear with 3.23's and stock 275/40/17 street tires. Since then I've added a full UMI and QA1 suspension, along with a Strange S60 rear, slicks/skinnies and a couple other little things. The car is full weight and will stay that way (a/c, cd changer, etc.)

128 @ full weight is pretty quick in my opinion, it's making decent power.

Did you go to UCSB as a Mechanical Engineer? I had a friend with a car that looked very much the same. It was a fun car to ride in, except it would set off car alarms at idle in parking lots. :)

Meh, to each his own. Pro Street isn't my thing, but that doesn't matter because it's YOUR car. So long as you do quality work you've got nothing to worry about, looks like you're in the clear :smoke:
Welcome aboard, from one newb to another!
