Well, I decided to put up some pictures of my latest project. I am building this car for my wife to drive, it is semi- pro touring ,but not terribly drastic. The car is a 1957 Chevy 2 door 150 utility sedan. I started working on it 5 weeks ago, it was completely stripped 3 weeks ago by the way of soda blasting. I have hopes of having it driveable by May 27th :candle: I am adding pictures almost daily on my imagestation account.

Let me know what you all think.

I've owned a couple of 1957 150 Business Coupes and next to my 69 El Camino, they are my favorite old car.

It looks like you got a good helper there. Just remember when he gets in the way that he will always remember helping "build" the car. Never be too busy to answer some of those "why daddy" questions. The car is looking good btw.I love 57s.

It's to bad that it's hard to pull off a flat black/primer appearence in a water proof top coat. I like the flat look, sinister and all business.

Thanks for the compliments !! This is my first Tri-Five, but I can already see another in the future....I love this car! I plan to finish this one, then finish my 69 Camaro, and after that possibly look for a Nomad. I will post updates as they come.

Again, thanks,

A few more pictures.. Took it out to have my body man take a look at the quarter panels.. We will start on them next Wednesday, and hopefully be finished with all of the bodywork by the end of next weekend. After that, it is all just assembly.

Here you go...

I hate you, and you smell like poo.

*jealous*

I have a 150 sedan also, but mine is all tore down, and I dont have the time to spend with her... for about the last 10 years. Hell, I just got mine out of the storage facility a couple weeks ago.. where she was prisoner for many years.
I noticed you are in California though. I live in Oxnard. When ya gonna pick me up for a joyride?... ;)

All of the bodywork is done... The fuel tank from Rick's Hot Rod Shop was supposed to be here this week, but won't be until next week. As soon as that gets here, I should be ready to put it in and turn the key! I have 2 weeks to finish this car. Wish me luck !!

Well, I held true to my word and we took it out for the cruise night !! After a long series of issues, we packed up and made it's first drive tonight. I have yet to finish it by any means, but it is drivable. The power steering pump seal is shot, so it leaks fluid all over, the electric fan kicks it all over the headers so it smokes... The Unisteer rack & pinion is not hooked up after it kicked the steering wheel back and fourth violently as soon as I touched the wheel. I made a bypass for the pump, just comes out of the feed and back to the return line....The timing is WAY out of wack, idles about 3 grand. These are just a few of my issues, but I drove it tonight !!!! Now I have the time to spend on it and work out the problems one by one.

I'll get some current pictures up soon.

what color are you going?????

Aschle

Still undecided on the color.... Thinking either an electric lime green/ white combo, or a traditional red/ white combo. Either way, the white will be the Lexus crystal white.

Thanks for all of the compliments !

I say lime green and white!
Although you can't go wrong with red and white!

*bump* I wanna see updates! I love your car.

I noticed something though. I think yours and my first 57 had the same interior guy.
I didnt keep this first one cause it was soooo rusty. My current project is in a lot better shape. (Well, all the pieces in the boxes are in better shape.)

Hopefully, I can get some time to get off my fat arse so I can see some results.

Fine lookin automobile, Jason. Looking at your sig, you have a long list of fine automobiles. I was gonna ask where you park the five seven, but I figured it out on my own: You park it UNDER the Tahoe.
