Is anyone here interested in Locosts? I've been for some time and have always wanted to build one myself. The main concern for me has always been how to get a title and registration. I know several people who have built kit cars. They have "sold" the car to someone in a state where all is needed is a bill of sale to get a title and then bought the car back and used the out of state title to get one here in Tennessee. It just seems like there should be an easier/less shady way to get a title.

All that aside how would you guys build your own? What donors would you use?

I really like the locosts. I've been thinking I want to get a muscle car to work on first and then down the road do a locost. It seems miata donors are pretty popular. I'm sure because they are so cheap. I always liked the ones that use motorcycle motors, but for a street driven car that probably wouldn't be the best. I would probably use revalved shocks off of a motorcycle for their adjustability maybe a miata motor w/supercharger or a gm ecotec
