Hey everyone, I am currently building a 67 camaro rs and want to use 18 or 19 inch wheels. I already had the sheetmetal prof. done and i should have put in mini tubs. I plan on using a heidts 4 link in the rear and heidts narrowed A arms in the front. I am hopeing to fit 8 inch wide tires up front and at least 10 inch wide in the rear. Is this feasable with no modifictaion to the body or subframe? Any insight would be appreciated.

The heidts a-frames allow a wider than stock wheel, so 8 shouldn't be a problem. 10 in the back will be tough to pull off. It may be possible but you have to NAIL the backspacing

What he said ^^^^^ And it might not hurt to roll the edges of the quarter. I have some pics in my build thread.

Thanks for the post guys. Its nice to know i might still have a chance of getting the look i want without going backwards in this build.

8's in the front are no problem at all but in the rear I would ditch the 10" and go with a 9.5" for sure. With the proper BS you will not have any problems.

just to throw my 2 cents, I also have a 67' camaro in the works and am also contemplating putting 19 x 10's. Here is what I got after I made some calls to American Racing and Total Cost Involved. (i have a TCI 4 link rear):
1. on stock 67's 18 x 8's are totally possible although on a car with 2 extras people or 1 other heavy friend it rubs, might have to roll the fenders.
2. if you purchase a 4 link rear kit AND mini tub the car, your going to need to shorten the rear-end, get new shorter axels and adjust the connecting brackets for the rear end, which might mess with the geometry of the 4 link. (consult the dealer for that jazz) also depending on the mini tub kit and the 4 link system make sure that they don't interfere with each other as the two kits are in very close proximity on the Camaro's frame, so I suggest going with the two kits from the same manufacturer.
so hope it helps... again just my 2 cents

I also have a 67 Camaro that I just completed doing this too. I went with an air bar with qa1 in the rear with a narrowed rear. I have 19x8 and 19x10 on mine with no rubbing, but I did have to roll the lips on the rear. Boze got my backspacing perfect.

I did 18x9.5 on the rear of my 67 convert Fbd and they fit the 12 bolt fine with 275 40 18 Michelins. Could have done 10s. 18x8 on the front with stock subframe and DSE dropped A Arms and drop spindles caused problems. I went too low and rubbed on the inner fender. Narrowed A Arms should solve that for you. Be certain to measure everything at various ride heights.
