Hi all new to PT and have been doing a ton of reading. I grew up around muscle cars and choppers but my dad sold most of his toys in the 80's when they were worth ziltch (yes he is kicking himself for getting rid of a 64 GTO all original, a 55 chevy belair, and a 31 ford plus several harleys etc) I was 14 then and I can still remember how mad I was at him. I have always dreamed of a 66 chevelle for as long as I can remember and now I have one. Here is are the upgrades underway as we speak:

4 wheel disc brakes from cpp
Completely rebuilding the steering and upgrading to quick ratio power steering (grand cherokee box)
Billet specialties serpentine kit
New stage IV suspension front and rear including new tubular A arms, Heidt tall 2" dropped spindles with stock hotchkis big block spings up front and hotchkis lowering springs in the rear. new sway bars etc
Muncie M22 to replace this crappy TH350.
So many boxes .... I realized I was over my head pretty quickly and enlisted the help of a builder who is also a family friend. I should be done in a few weeks?!

Future upgrades:

It is an SS clone for now but eventually it will be debadged, no handles, and painted probably silver but maybe silver and black?
Cowl hood Sell SS hood any takers?
Minitub? maybe haven't decided if that's necessary
20x10-12 rears and 19x8 fronts (got it narrowed down to a couple of brands)
EFI
Supercharger
Covan Dash or similar
Newer buckets
Any and all tips/suggestions/comments welcome. I'm so thankful to live in a country/world where not only is it ok to follow your dreams but having access to a wealth of knowledge and support readily available here at PT.
Wish me Luck,
Jamey

The car is looking good. Chevelles.com has an active Pro-Touring section as well.

I am soooo pumped she is back on the road after all of my suspension, steering, brake upgrades and M21. I cannot believe how good she drives. Turns and stops very well. I had to massage the fender wells slightly after the springs settled but did not have to roll the lip *whew*! I am happy with the stance of the car almost. The hotchkis rear coils were supposed to be a one inch drop but really sitting up about where it was before. I have cleaned and painted my original springs and I may see how they ride if it doesnt settle in the next week or two. Any ideas for a name for my car?
Not too many more mods planned for the next 18ths saving for a nice body off paint job and interior.
