s-10 dash swap

I have been lurking around here for a long while, preparing and getting ideas for my build. I am going to be building a first generation s-10. What I was wondering is will the dash in a 89 s-10 fit into my 83 s-10.
I prefer the look of the 89 dash, and since I will be using aftermarket gauges, I think the placement of the vents, and other accessories make that dash just a better look. I just don't know if that dash will fit in the 83.

Yup should bolt in

The dash will fit but, you'll need to swap over the cab wiring and the whole heater assy. Maybe even the steering column.

thanks, I'm not worried about the wiring, or the heater I am thinking of running hotrod air, and the steering column because the 83 is a standard column and the 89 is a telescopic/tilt
