Hey guys, Love the site! I'm building a 73 chevelle (w/ laguna nose) with a pro-touring/ trans-am/ nascar theme. So far its got a 10:1 350 sbc, Sportsman 2 heads, comp 286xe cam, roller rockers, Holley 750 and an RPM intake. The trans is a Super t-10 4-speed with a Hays clutch and Hurst Comp Plus Shifter. The rear is a 8.5 10 bolt with 4.10 gears. I painted the car in high school vo-tech and drove it daily for 3 years ( it needs a re-shoot, but it can wait)... I'd like to get the suspension and brakes done before anything else...
I'm currently finishing the interior (just waiting on my procar rallye 1000 seats) (pics soon)
As for the brakes and suspension:
Ultimately I'm going with the new DSE setup for 73-77 chevelles..
...but for now I've got OPGI 2" lowering springs, 1 1/4 front / 1 1/8 rear Sway bars, KYB Gas-a-just shocks, energy suspension bushings, a 12:1 QR steering box and 16x8/16x9.5 TTII's... The perfect newly-wed, new-dad and new home-owner budget setup.. IMO haha. Once the interior is complete i'll start installing these parts along with a home-made side exit exhaust and rear discs (still need to order, any ideas on a nice budget setup let me know)
I'll start a build thread to show my progress, but for now I've posted a few pics as it currently sits along with a rendering I did showing my idea. (check my PT Garage).
Thanks,
-Sean
PS. Any Pro-touring events, cruises or Meets on the EAST COAST?? I'd love to Autocross this thing this summer and meet up with other PT members....
