I'm working on a 67 Chevelle. Its time to order up my susp. I have 3 kits in mind.

1) The Hotchkins TVS kit.

2) The Edelbrock Pro-touring susp kit.

3) The BMR stage 2 Kit.

I wondering what is the over all thoughts of these kits are. As far as cost the Edelbrock and Hotchkins are about the same price. Roughly 1500.00 bucks. The BMR kit is 2000.00 bucks (But comes with uper and lower control arms).

The Hotchkins TVS kit is good I know, But doesn't come with shocks.

The Edelbrock looks like a good kit and comes with shocks. I have never ran or seen anyone running it, But Edelbrock is a good name and they make great parts. So I figure these are good parts like the rest of their line.

The BMR makes good parts also. I've been running their 4th gen Fbody stuff for years. I'm figuring their muscle car parts are just as good. I like the fact that their kit comes with upper and lower tubular control arms for just 500.00 bucks more.

This car is just a good mtn cruiser. It might see a lil track action, But its not being built as a hard core track machine.

I know I need to fix the front geometry and that is being addressed too, But not with these kits. These are just for spring selection, ride and handling. Thanks for yalls input.

I would add a fourth choice: www.scandc.com

Their Stage 2+ setup on the front combined with what Mark recommends for the rear would be a better choice in my mind.

I have the Stage 2 on my 67 El Camino and love it.

The Stage II plus is what I'm using to correct the geometry.

I'm still going to need 1 of the kits above. My car is a 300 Dlx with no swaybars and big block springs in the front. It looks like it doing a 4 grand launch just sitting still.LOL

I figure its cheaper and easier to just buy a complete kit with everything I need in it at 1 time.

I just did the Hotchkis 3" drop TVS. For me it was the best bang for the buck. I would however recommend new shocks because the TVS doesn't come with shorter/stiffer shocks.

I agree with Randy. Take a look at the SPC springs and Hellwig stuff in addition to the Hotchkiss stuff. You can still get everything at one time and from one place. And if you've got the SCC Stg 2+ already, then you've got once place to deal with for any issue. Take a look at my thread if you want to see pretty much exactly how your car would be with all that stuff. Only difference is that I'm also running the SPC tubular lowers in addition to the Stg 2+. IMHO the Currie rear control arms are simply works of art. They're almost too nice to put on a car.

BTW, I'm not a big fan of the Edelbrock suspension stuff. I'm using their rear braces, but that's it. Too many people I've bumped into complaining about their IAS shocks.

I'd give Marcus a call and see what he recommends. Very few people will have had experience with all 3 to make an adequate comparison, but I'm pretty sure Savitske has. As has been said, he can sell you a whole package with your Stage 2 kit to cover everything in one shot.
