I don't know if this is the right forum for this question (so mods please feel free to move it) but...

Does anyone have any suggestions or recommendations for a trailer hitch for a 1967 Camaro?

see... you weren't expecting that question...

Gonna pull a small trailer to haul your sticky tires, jack stands and floor jack on?

No... Mary has decided that the best way to "learn the line" is to "live to line" so she wants to rig up a small trailer with a chair for autocross weekends.

You gotta go up front. Better view. Triangulate a structure between your front tow hooks and mount one of these:

You can get the small univeral reciever hitches that bolt into your bumper mounts. They have a 1" reciever in them and will pull upto 3k pounds. They are pretty cheap also.

Try Frank at prodigy, that bronze 68 that they just restored had one when it arrived at their shop. I don't think they put it back on. I doubt anyone still makes one new.

Damn, I wish I would have saved the one I took off mine for ya , I would have given it to you. It was a Warshawsky special made for the car when they came out. The owner had a sail boat I was told.

Now that I think of it I may have it still in my scrap pile, I'll have to look.

Behind the license plate would be cool, unfortunately there is that pesky gas tank right there. We're looking at either a modified rear bumber or something off the frame and coming up. I think that the bumper will prove to be the way to go - especially given the height of the car.

Your bumper is here and has been tested for strength ... it passed the "pole" test.

I have one for my 65 mustang. I will take a look at it this week ( i have to dig it out of hidding) and give you some idea. My dad used to tow his drag boat with the mustang.

I have one I took off mt car. It attaches to the floor pan forward of the gas ank, wraps under the tabk and secures right under the plate. Requires 4 holes in the trunk floor. Not the greatest design.

I've seen a pic of that style. Doesn't look that strong, but they were used a lot, so they obviously worked.

Mary's bumper off the 68 is kinda tweaked, it may not bolt on to your car without some work. We'd just have to try it and see.
