im looking at purchasing a set of 4.10:1 motive gears for a 10 bolt. My question is there is two sets - one that has 10 pinion gear teeth and 41 ring gear teeth, and the other has 9/37. Which would be better. The 9/37 is actually a 4.11 compared to the tru 4.10 but they are both advertised as 4.10? anyone have any info on this, thanks.

4.11. fewer teeth on the ring gear means more metal left for strength.

What size 10 bolt though? If 7.5" it's going to break either way with any sort of power going through it. If an 8.5" either one will be fine but the 4.11 will ultimately be stronger if you push its limits which happen to be rather high.

The lower count ring gear is likely a smaller diameter. do they list a mfr's part number? I'd check that out on the net and verify it's the right one.
