Hello,

I'm currently installing an air ride system on a 65 Chevelle.

All rear upper control arms for this car that I'm familiar with are centered. As in, the tubular section of the control arm is centered within the bracket that fits over the rearend bushing.

Both upper control arms I recieved with the air ride system are made with the tube offset entirely to one side of the bracket. Both brackets are offset to the drivers side of the car and I'm measuring the rearend as being 1 inch towards the drivers side of the car vs center.

Air ride is telling me that the upper control arm brackets are both supposed to be offset to the drivers side.

Any thoughts on this from people who have installed this setup?

Attached is a picture of the arm. Both arms are identical.

Anyone? Looks like I will just install Hotchkis upper control arms as I can see no reason for the upper arms to be built with an offset.

I understand your concerns... I did the exact same thing when I went to install our products on my personal Chevelle. So, I called up Rodney on my cell thinking that I was supposed to get a D & P or that the jig was off or somthing. Turns out that it is in fact supposed to be that way. If you look at a factory upper control arm, the stamping itself is centered....but the front bushing is offset. When designing these arms Rod just offset it on the rear of the bar instead of the front. So I installed em, my axle is perfectly centered.

Have you finished the installation yet? If not, let me know what happens.

Trust in the fact that Ridetech knows their stuff. They do not build junk.
