Check out www.classicchevy5speed.com . I've heard a lot of good things about them and hopefully I'll be buying a TKO from them this summer.

70CaliCustom:

Thanks for the nice reference to our web site. Jeff and I were just talking about doing a group purchase for Pro Touring. Group purchase would get free shipping on TKO when they buy one of our deluxe kits ($95 savings).

Give us a call if you are interested, we will limit it to 5 kit sales. Call us at (760) 230-2045 for details.

Thanks, Scott

Do you need to cut the trans tunnel to get the tko from www.classicchevy5speed.com (http://www.classicchevy5speed.com) to fit in a 1969 Camaro and will it work with the console in the stock location?

No tunnel modifications are needed for Camaro swap. You will have to trim 2" or so from right hand corner (if you have 4 speed) of stock tranny hole in your floor. Other than that, that is only trim that is needed. Standard TKO shifter will pop up in stock console postion. Here's a link that will give you more installation notes/info:

67 to 69 Camaro:

Let us know if you have any addtional questions.

Thanks, Scott

D&D Performance had a screaming deal in March with free shipping. And like the wiz, "nobody beats em".

I'm also considering an upgrade to the TKO 5-speed. What can I re-use from my exisitng setup? I'm currently running the original 3-speed manual transmission (console shifter), 153 tooth flywheel, and 10.5 clutch assembly in my 68 Camaro. The engine is a 383 with "internally balanced" crank. Can I use my existing bellhousing, flywheel, etc...?

Thanks,
Rob C.

You can use your existing clutch linkage and bellhousing. You will need to change your clutch disc toa 26 spline.
Click to here to take a look at a kit the will give you just about everything you will need: http://www.classicchevy5speed.com/Deluxe_Transmission_Kit.htm.
Feel free to call with questions.

Thanks Jeff.
Just to confirm... I can use my 153 tooth flywheel?
I'm probably a few months away, but this will really help get my plans organized.
Thanks again,
Rob C.
