can you clearcoat a bare metal body? i remember seeing a black car with bare metal rally stripes in some mag and that got me to thinking about doing the whole dang thing in bare.

Dupont makes a product called Metal lock that allows to clear to stick to bare metal. Air Ride's "velocity" is done that way, as was the goodguys chevelle they did
