If you click on the "Back Cover" it will show you a sticker that says $19.95. I'd bet Barnes and Noble could special order it in for you.

One of the big things about that book that makes them valuable to some is the whole court mess that was invloved and for whatever reason some thought information was going to be used to make fraudulent pace car vin tags as if dishonest people really cared about a courtcase and copyright infringement stuff.
There were also covers that were different than the one showed that were an earlier pressing,it had more of a white backround not blue and a pic of a 69 pace car on it.
It amuses me that someone is making that kind of money off of old litigation stories. That book was a big start in cracking down on vin tag laws.
Can you give us more info Jim? I've never heard that which you speak of. Until I got to your post, this was just another dumbass with an amazon account trying to make some money. ie nothign interesting

I'm in the same boat as Trey. I thought there had to be more to the story than someone asking stupid money for and old book.

IF what I remember is right, there were pics of the pace car vin tags with the X-11 blocked out as if there were going to be people who would use the info to reproduce tags that made fraud cars. When in supposed rumor or fact that the writer was actually doing the fraud. Not too long after repoduction vin tags were harder if not impossible to get in some states and then on the federal level.
The book was I believe printed a second time before the writer was charged with fraud and the book was never reprinted in the states again.
My memory is very foggy on this, Maybe Frank will remember the whole thing and have the exact story. Most of what I always heard was through the grapevine. It was considered the bible at the time for camaro restororation. A friend of mine at the time had an original which is how I know it had a white cover with a 69 pace car on the front.
The information that is in it now can more than likely all be found at the CRG camaro research group. That would also be a place to possibly find the rest of the story if you are really interested.
To me it was always just a book with info that you could find if you just went to car shows and also looked around in old magazines of the time.
