I was just browsing around on Anvil's site and saw their concepts page. They have sketches on there for rear diffusers for a 69 Camaro. These look nearly IDENTICAL to the sketches I have laying next to me for my car.

I was planning to make one from metal for my 69 that would bolt in and act as a belly pan under the tank as well. I was going to trim out the tail panel to match up to it and have the exhaust exit through it.

If you guys at Anvil are going to be making them, then I will hold off until they are available. Your parts are beautiful and a diffuser in carbon fiber would be awesome.

Are these going to be produced any time soon? Do we need to stir up some interest first?

If you guys haven't seen them you need to check out their site. it is under GALLERY / CONCEPTS

Thanks guys, I really look forward to hearing more about these.

I think they need to stop with the silly Camaro parts and work on some CF G-Body goodies. I'd be in love :smoke:

Hey - watch it now, Camaro parts aren't "silly".

Just kidding. I really do think they have found a great niche in the market now and I look for them to start branching out soon.

Any word from the Anvil guys on here? I would LOVE to test one of these for you if you are interested (wink, wink).

Thanks,
Dustin

Don't think they're sitting around doing nothing. Maybe you didn't see their CF inner fenders??? It is ridiculious how much goes into making these parts, especially if you want good quaility, which we're all after.

You guys need to put up the Tito Jones Bat Signal! Now that you posted some r&d pics expect Fesler to come out with it in a week or two!

Yes I have and I totally agree. I know Mike from MCC is working on an all metal diffuser (completely dif design).

I totally agree, I know the amount of work and planning that goes into these parts must be amazing.

I was just hoping to stir up some interest to let them know it is something we would buy if it was produced.

I look forward to getting some updates from the guys at Anvil on these.

Keep the discussion going - they are bound to see it sooner or later.

Speaking of R&D, take a look at Spectre's new 1st gen products. My Medusa was the guinea pig.

We see you.

Thing is we are currently working on offerings for other makes and models; Chevelle, Nova, Mustang. We do have a 2nd gen diffuser about 85% done. The 69 Camaro diffuser is still just in concept form and will be a ways off before we revisit it. I'm trying to push for deep tub 67/8 Camaro inner fenders, and we also have 2nd gen doors, fenders, as well as 69 Camaro fenders in the works.

So many parts, so little time.

Thanks for the interest in Anvil's upcoming products.

Tyler,

Its about time!

Seriously though, I'm sure everyone here understands. It must be a good place to be in - having more new product ideas and developments than you can even get around to producing. I know I am grateful that compaines like yours are finally catering to the pro touring crowd and coming out with these amazing products. It is great to be able to come on sites like this and be able to interact with these great companies directly.

Thanks for keeping us in the loop - we look forward to hearing about all the new products you are developing in the future.

No need for that, we are building some front and rear ones out of steel but they are still a ways out. They will be hand stamped and very cool.

As most of you know we are building 100s of parts so to say we won’t have something that someone else is making or plans on making is wrong. I can’t control a company for taking years to bring a product to market that we can do in a few weeks or months. Business is business and you guys wanted parts and that is what we are doing. You ask for parts we build them. Simple

So if you are after Carbon for your 69 Anvil is the way to go Matt is a great guy and makes bitchen parts but if you are looking at Steel we will just have another option for you guys like most of the parts we make. I already do carbon for the 2010 Camaro’s but nothing that Matt does because he is making really nice parts so there is no reason for me to get in that market.

I have lots of ideas that Matt and I have talked about and maybe one day we will put our heads together and do some really cool stuff for you guys. It’s no secret how me and Tyler like each other but at the end of the day its business and Tyler seems to be doing a great job there. One day we will get past it all fingers crossed.

Chris,

Do you have any pics or info on the diffuser you are developing? I would love one in carbon, but if these are on the back burner from Anvil, I would definitely go for steel.

I was planning to fabricate one myself, but I probably won't get around to that for months now. If this is something you might have coming up soon, I am VERY interested.

You can PM me if you prefer.

Thanks!

I swear you guys at Anvil run a secretive operation over there. I drop by and see stuff in development, and then, boom, you've got inner fenders from out of nowhere along with all kinds of other stuff. What else do you have up your sleeves, aside from the '69 front end :naughty:
