I want to swap a 06 ls2 in my chevelle its out of a trailblazer. Will the accessory drive work under my stock hood? If not what's needed to make it work? New brackets or what? Thanks

The truck accesories will not fit, the alternator will stick through the hood. You will have to use Corvette or Camaro accesories. Or a aftermarket kit

Does that mean I'd have to buy a whole new kit ($1000)? Or can I just buy some new brackets? What's the best way to make it work?

Thanks

The brackets for sure, the accesories MAY work, there is a dozen different clockings for the lugs on the alternator.

Did you look at the brackets from kwik performance?

Not to sure why some say it won't work. Here is my truck accessory setup in a 72. The only thing you need is an S-10 PS pump pulley to clear the steering box. I have about an 1/2 inch clearance to the inner hood supports. I use factory 350 SBC mounts with Edelbrock adapters.

Alocker,
What headers are you running?

Edelbrock's. They have the same issue many complain about, the #2 primary is about a 1/2 a mm from the x-member and sometimes it rubs.

Hey alocker, you got pics of the truck accessories in your ride you can share? I'm planning an L92 in an 80's G body. Chassis are similar, was hoping all would fit.

thanks

I'm doing a 72 442. I've seen several other A bodies with the truck accessories and even the intake. I'll be test fitting this weekend.
Here's my setup with a smaller PS pulley.

If it doesnt fit, I'll just cut off the top of the bracket and mount it like I did on my 68 corvette.
