SW sent me his phone number and we talked.. We were going to meet at his house and check out cars when we do the car switch thing in Austin on Friday..

In a futile effort to keep my PM's under 50 I accidentially deleted his PM with his number in it..

Anyone know how to contact him? I sent him a PM but I know he is a busy guy and not on here much..

I believe he owns an exotic car dealership in Austin. The name, I think, is Elite Motorsports or Elite Autosport. I hope that helps.

So I move away, and then you buggers go to Austin.

.....sigh.....

...steve, if you need it I have his cell phone number. SW's a super cool guy, and while you're in the area go say hey to Ryan at Vintage Air.

Steve, you know that "popular hot rodding" is all about unique motor/tranny swaps too, so with that said, you HAVE TO feature his Lexus with the t'charged Supra six-you just gotta! -Jabin

I just want to say something about SW. I had looked forward to the trip to get the Lemans and I was not disappointed. However, meeting SW and seeing his toybox was no doubt the highlight of the trip. He treated my brother and me as if he had known us for years. He took time out of his day to meet with us to take possession of Steve's car then later got with Steve to release it. As for his toys, all I can say is I'm jealous. His shop/garage is as clean as his house and packed with toys. Sometimes when you only know someone by what you read, you form opinions about what you think they will be like in person. After reading and seeing his post here, I wondered how I could fit in with a Ferrari-Viper-Lexus guy. Trust me, there is no one here more down to earth than SW. Obviously, he can afford better toys but what a true hotrodder. The Lexus is one for the books. I bet there will be many Porsche guys around Austin that will soon have a new respect for one black Lexus.
SW thanks again for your hospitality. I look forward to you coming to our get together in June. If you do not get the 69 ready by then, Maybe you can bring the Lexus instead.

Bill,

I agree with your assessment of SW.. very down to earth and a genuine passion for hotrods of all types.. His "garage-mahal" is beyond compare.

As for having his 69 ready.. it'll be there. I'm the guy who's wiring it for him.. it's almost complete. Besides, he's holding my red 69 hostage until I'm finished :) SW came by today to check the progress and he showed me some pix of Steve's 68.. cool car. I hope to join SW on the June trip so maybe I'll get a chance to meet some of you guys.

Thanks Bill/Tj, you guys are too kind. Bill it was great meeting you and your brother. I will definately have the Camaro done by June and look forward to seeing you at your event. I do have another Lexus story..I took a buddy of mine for a ride today and we came up on a Ferrari 550. Needless to say, my buddy rolled his window down as we were passing him in 3rd gear.. :git:

see you in a few months,

True story, I got the same warm welcome from SW, and I'm just a punk kid. I hope it was my name dropping that help convince Johnny to put your cars in PHR.

Wow.. it's the SW fan club :)

Oh, and count me as a member of that club.. Thanks SW for helping me out with the car transfer and for all the help... Just goes back to what I said about car people being some of the best people on earth.

Oh, and about that toybox...

I should post pics.. those cars live better than a lot of people. the Lexus is certainly worthy of being in any mag.. and the 355's on the back of the Ferrari are HUGE..

Thanks again :)
