PHR used to be the rag of choice, even claiming to be "the" pro-touring magazine. There was a period of time (a good year or so maybe) when it really was a pretty hardcore pro-touring magazine, but I think sales probably dropped more than they could afford. It's still pretty good, but it's gotten a bit off track and features a lot more (very cool) drag style cars and mullet rides. It's enough that I don't subscribe anymore. :(

Super rod was good for showing pro-touring cars. But I haven't seen it on the stands lately.

i was thinking the same and well why not...it can be the OFFICIAL pro-touring.com magazine...is there anyone on the site that is connected? maybe we can even get sponsors for it? idk just an idea...im sure its really expensive and out of the question...but this site has been the best inspiration and educational place ive ever been to or seen. so it being a magazine would be pretty cool...well im thinking out loud again.....

What do the Ford faithful do?

I really enjoy this website. On the positive side there is no limit to the interaction you have on a website, where as the negative would be I like picking up a mag and looking at it from time to time.

Is it just me or are the mags trying to bring back the '80s styling? Cragars, hood scoops and nasty graphics.

Im there with with you. Not necessarily ford faithful but I need to see more than just Camaros. Come on Steve. How 'bout expanding Camaro Performers to Pro Performers or something.

I agree with both of you. It seems like the "pro-touring" following is a really small niche in the aftermarket though. A magazine dedicated to it would cover the RTTH events and stuff like that? The tech articles would be only things that made the car handle better, stop quicker, faster(more hp) without sacrificing street manners and more comfortable? I would suppose that it would have a heavy dose of metal work as well?

I feel like the car mags could include all of this stuff in their pages and the reason there isn't a dedicated magazine is that this is a relatively small niche market. Would there be a large enough following to support a dedicated mag?

I am certain that I would subscribe. Maybe I need to start one myself. Although, I think pro-touring.com does a damn good job doing these things and it's interactive.

Super Chevy has had several articles, and even a full magazine dedicated to aftermarket suspension, replacement frames, etc., and then they also have dedicated an entire issue to Tri-5s too, so, a combination.
