Hey guys just wanted to see peoples opnion. Do you guys prefer the smaller 1970 Z28 spoiler or the more common bigger 3 piece spoiler?

The low spoiler for me. I can't stand the tall spoiler on early 2nd gens. They look out of place. Just my .02

my brother has the 3 piece on his 70, been there, done that. I actually prefer a '70-'73 RS w/ no spoiler and a flat hood.

I'm the opposite of many. I prefer the three piece tall spoiler out back, but I also think the car NEEDS the front spoiler to look just right. But that's just my opinion. You'll find a lot of people have pretty different preferences.

D-80 tall 3-pc spoiler...:enguard:
Been staring at mine for almost 30 years now, love the look...absolutely love it!:yum:
Total copy of the Ferrari GTO but hey...to me...it makes the car look much tougher.:machine:
If we're talking about the perfect 2nd Gen to me,I'd have to say '70-'73,Rally Sport, front spoiler,D-80 rear.

You've got good taste Allen...car looks lost w/o front spoiler and strange to me w/low 1-pc rear.
My car may have not come with either but that's not how I like it so I added the front, rear was already a 3-pc,probably added somewhere down the line. All the pics I have of it from as far back as 1975 (before I owned it) it always had D-80.

Tall spoiler. My wife is a Second Gen person, her first car was a '71 Z28 RS. Tall spoiler and front spoiler every day of the week, twice on Sunday!

Ive always liked the tall spoiler myself. Kinda like what Musclecar John said kinda reminds me of the Ferrari GTO with the roofline and that spoiler.

I think it depends on the rest of the car's look. Front spoiler or not, raised hood or not, wheel/tire combo etc. Also will the car be tracked where the additional downforce might be beneficial?

Tall 3 Piece spoiler, with a 2" cowl hood. That's the look I'm going with.

Either one as long as the front spoiler is also there with it.

I run short spoilers on both my Camaro's as i personally think it's a cleaner look,,, guess its' all preferences.....

I like the tall spoiler with front spoiler on a camaro that would be Autocrossed or tracked, it looks more like a road racer. The low spoiler looks more civilized, more of a sports look instead of race look. I do like both with a little more preference for the tall one.
I would advise anyone adding a spoiler to a car that is already painted. The 3 piece spoiler will not always line up right without some bodywork. The factory somehow got them to fit right, but I've seen too many added later that had gaps, and were not lined up right. Also the contour of the spoiler may not match the body. The low spoiler is MUCH easier to just bolt on and look right.

Either one works for me although I lean more towards the tall spoiler, BUT if it is 70-73....you gotta have the RS front end (just had to throw that in).
