Yuk. Looks like they went to AutoZone and bought all the cheap chrome plastic stuff and slapped them on.

Looks very silly trying to incorporate 1960's styling onto modern cars,it can only be taken so far and to me this is over the top...or edge whichever.

Those glued-on bumpers look like they'd get ripped right off in a carwash, lol.

I hate to say it but I kinda like the bumpers on the Mustang. Everything else not so much.

Awww darn it....to late to market again! Say what you will, but I bet you will see this stuff around sooner than later. Have you ever seen the max'd out PT Cruiser's....They look like a JC Whitney catalog page. WOW!

can't fault them for taking the factory idea of retro styling and running w/ it. the challenger and mustang look good IMO, the camaro not so much.
they have woody kits for magnums and PT cruisers and beetles already, this was just bound to happen.

I don't think they look all that bad but I personally wouldn't install it on my stuff. I have a feeling they will sell like hot cakes though.

The camaro looks even uglier than stock the other two are somewhat ok but I would not put any of it in any of my rides.

A little better execution and higher quality materials and I think it'd be OK. I kind of dig it. Probably wouldn't do it to my car, though.

Camaro looks terrible. Challenger looks okay, but the chrome is just tacked on plastic. Junk!

I think I've seen the Mustang one in person before, and that was cringe worthy, but Oh God... don't look at the Camaro rear bumper, or the mustang side moulding. *shivers* some things from the internet cannot be unseen, and unfortunately these are two such examples.

I personally think they are in bad taste, but the Pep Boys school of auto customization sells all kinds of crap, and a lot of it.
I am sure they will sell plenty.....

I like the Mustang stuff. Can't comment on the quality of finish from the pictures, but I like the concept. I didn't look so much as the other cars but since the Mustang is so heavily retro styled I think it works. In fact I was looking for the full chrome rocker panel like a lot of the '67-68 had.

Unfortunately I don't htink it works as well with plasticized chrome if that's what it is - we all know real chrome would be too expensive.

Seems like whenever some new styling ideas get put out this board is pretty harsh in general on them. Its like only one look will do.

MOst early Mustangs that get styled go for the mono-paint color race car hot rod look, yet one of the styling elements o fmy '67 is too keep a lot of the chrome and brightwork since you see so little of it these days, especially on hot rod musclecars. NOt that that has any real relevance to these products but I guess I still like chrome. I lean towards liking these designs simply because I've never been a huge fan of hte mono-color super smoothed hot rod look (for example welding valence/quarterpanel seams together, or deleting side view mirrors).

But maybe you shouldn't listen to me as I just modified my '67 to use late model Shelby headlights, so what do I know about design purity ?

Shouldn't the thread title be "retro chrome New maro, stang or lenger"?
