Okay, so here's what I've got. Car is an 84 Monte Carlo, front has 2wd Blazer spindles with 2 piston calipers and bolt-in bearing hubs, still has 5x4.75" bolt pattern. Rear is currently stock, 5x4.75" axle flanges.

Wheels are factory BMW from a 2001 540i, 17x8" with a 74.1mm hub bore, 5x120mm lug pattern.

I realize that some guys are running this lug pattern wheel on a 5x4.75" lug pattern, but I'll not be one of them. I realize a lot of guys have no problem, but I'm not taking the chance on the .6mm misalignment. I'm ordering adaptors this week, that are 1.25" thick.

So here is my question, I believe the car was lugcentric with the factory wheels, but I know for a fact the BMW wheels were run hubcentric on the Bimmer. The adaptors I have found for this combination have no hubcentric provision, except for the hub bore, which I could machine a hub slug for to run the wheels hubcentric on them. But, should I? The only reason I am wondering, is that I've always thought hubcentric or lugcentric depends more on what you're bolting to, than what the wheel is. The BMW application uses lug bolts, which cannot effectively center the wheel, but I'll be using lug studs with nuts, which I believe should serve me fine.

What do you think?

Nevermind, I caved and ordered custom adaptors, hubcentric to the car and wheel. The company was very helpful with my order, looking forward to seeing how good the quality is.

Will do. Just for reference, this is where I ordered mine from: http://www.motorsport-tech.com/

The guy I talked to there was very helpful, I'll try to get some pics up when they arrive. It was $280 for a set of 4 adaptors custom-machined for my application, which I think is a steal. They're even less than that if you skip the hub ring on the outside, but I think having it is the best setup.
